A Shared Goal – Helping Seriously Ill Children

Team Rynkeby is an international charity cycling team that will bring together over 2,000 cyclists and 500 support crew members from eight countries in 2025. The initiative includes 64 teams, eight of which are based in Finland.

Since 2002, Team Rynkeby has raised significant donations for children with serious illnesses. Finland joined the initiative in 2012, directing all locally raised funds to Sylva ry and the AAMU Foundation. These donations provide crucial support for families and advance pediatric cancer research.

Donations Drive Research and Hope

In Finland, childhood cancer research is not publicly funded, despite the country’s world-class treatment standards. One in seven children diagnosed with cancer does not survive, making donations essential for developing better treatments.

Recognizable by their yellow bicycles, Team Rynkeby stands for hope, community, and dedication to an important cause. The initiative raises awareness of childhood cancer and supports vital research. In July, the teams will cycle to Paris—a demanding physical challenge and a strong statement of commitment to charity.
